City Haven Massage Therapy is operated by Charlotte Keane - a fully qualified Myotherapist and Remedial Massage Therapist.

Charlotte Keane is an Advanced member of the Massage & Myotherapy Australia Association and holds comprehensive AON insurance. All staff employed by City Haven Massage are members of the Massage & Myotherapy Australia Association or similar organisations and abide by the moral ethics and codes of their association, are fully qualified, insured and possess a Senior First Aid Certificate. At City Haven Massage Therapy we provide complementary treatments and work with your GP, Physio or other health professional in an integrated way.

Certified Myotherapist & Oncology Massage Therapist

Charlotte is a qualified Myotherapist and Remedial Massage Therapist with 20 years of industry experience. She holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Myotherapy) degree from Endeavour College of Natural Heatlh. Charlotte is a National Director from Victoria, for Massage and Myotherapy Australia and is an education and audit & risk committee member for the association.

She has a special interest in Myotherapy and remedial massage working with clients on an ongoing basis to counteract specific soft tissue problems related to poor posture, pain, stiffness, injury recovery and stress. Her Myotherapy qualifications allow her to provide you with great post treatment advice including comprehensive exercises to help you feel better and get back to the activities you love to do.

Charlotte’s remedial work also incorporates pregnancy massage for both antenatal and postnatal patients. Her experience includes working in the hospital environment with both high-risk patients and with women soon after childbirth, as well as providing pregnancy related services through her clinic.

She also works with many elderly clients both in nursing home and private home settings. She is a firm believer that people can reduce pain and improve posture no matter what their age. She finds great reward in helping her elderly clients strengthen their bodies so they can enjoy a better quality of life.

Charlotte is a qualified Oncology Massage Therapist and offers treatments to people living with and recovering from cancer. Cancer can take a toll on your body and Charlotte has been trained to provide safe massage techniques to support your body and help you feel better during treatment and throughout recovery.

She is also a Certified Myotherapist and has been externally audited. This accreditation means that her business practices and policies are recognised as best practice.

Charlotte provided soft tissue therapy for female tennis elite athletes at the January 2022 WTA tennis tournament at Melbourne Park and for Tennis Australia in January 2023 and 2024 massaging athletes at the Australian Open.

She is available at both the Doncaster East and Parkville clinics. She is also available for private home visits on request and subject to availability.

Our mission statement is about leading by example and when it comes to good health, Charlotte believes in regular exercise, sleep and good nutrition. She keeps healthy with regular exercise including swimming, reformer pilates and walking her Greyhound, Frosty. She is currently learning how to play the piano.

Certified Myotherapist

Weronika (pronounced 'Veronica') gained her Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy from the Melbourne Institute of Massage Therapy. She combines various techniques such as Trigger Point therapy, myofascial dry needling, myofascial release, exercise prescriptions and joint mobilisation to reduce your pain and improve your movement. Weronika aims to restore a balance of mobility, strength and stability to your body. She believes that working with you is the best way to get you out of pain and back to what you love to do.

Outside the treatment room, Weronika is committed to her own health and keeping up her own fitness regime. She enjoys Yoga, Pilates, Spinning, basketball and being an active Mum. She's originally from Sweden and loves life in Melbourne. Weronika is a Certified Myotherapist and has been audited externally to ensure her business practices meet this vigorous standard. You'll find Weronika at our Doncaster East clinic.

Maggie - Advanced Diploma Therapist

Maggie completed her Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy at RMIT in 2015. During her training she had the opportunity to work with the Australian College of Basketball and with the National Institute of Circus Arts. Maggie has previously worked as the resident Myotherapist and first aider for a soccer club.

Maggie’s techniques include myofascial dry needling, myofascial release, joint mobilisation and myofascial cupping which she will use and tailor according to your own unique health condition. She has a special interest in relieving headache and neck pain especially due to her own personal experience of neck issues as a young child and recovering from injuries sustained on the hockey field. Maggie is a big believer in body awareness and realises the best person who knows your pain is you. She is passionate about anatomy and loves to share her knowledge of the human body with her customers so they have a better understanding of their own body.

She holds a certification in Pregnancy massage and likes to ensure her pregnant customers feel cared for at such a special time.

Maggie puts great importance on looking after herself, so she can look after others like YOU this includes regular weightlifting, running, swimming and yoga. If you are looking for a therapist that utilises her training to the full with motivation and enthusiasm to help you feel better, then Maggie is a great choice. Maggie returns from maternity leave on Friday 17th November 2023 and will initially work on Fridays at Doncaster East, from 8.45am to 3pm. She welcomed a baby daughter, Lilliana in April 2023.

Martin holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Myotherapy) degree from Endeavour College of Natural Health, and is proficient in the use of techniques such as dry needling, myofascial release, joint mobilisations, cupping, and exercise prescription.

In the past, Martin completed a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in the field of Psychology before studying Myotherapy. He is still deeply invested in mental health and fascinated with the relationship between the mind and body, especially when it comes to the experience of pain.

He strives to make every client feel listened to and understand their experience. He delights in sharing knowledge and equipping his clients with the tools to aid in their recovery. To him, every client is their own unique case, and each treatment is focused on finding out what works for them.

Martin is a life-long geek, and outside of his hobbies, he can be found continuously learning, spending time with family, and cooking. You'll find Martin at our Doncaster East clinic on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.
